
Endorsement Process
Step 1
Select proposed dates for the tournament
Step 2
Decide the maximum number of teams you can accommodate at the tournament (Team Cap)
Step 3
Email the Debaters’ Council (debaterscouncil@gmail.com) with a request for endorsement at least 2 months before the proposed tournament date.
Include:
a) name of organizing institution
b) proposed dates
c) team cap
Step 4
Receive preliminary endorsement (refer conditions for endorsement)
Step 5
Open registration and invite all DC member schools
Step 6
Contact DC approved judges regarding availability. Only DC approved judges are allowed to adjudicate at endorsed tournaments.
Step 7
Email proposed motions to the DC Motions Committee 3 weeks before the tournament.
Step 8
Finalise tournament logistics
Step 9
Reconfirm judge availability one week before the tournament
Step 10
Host tournament
Note: The Debaters’ Council has the right to withdraw its endorsement of a tournament at any given time if any of its conditions for endorsement are violated.
